겨울의 토끼들

It is a cold morning at Grandpa’s house.

할아버지 댁에서의 추운 아침이에요.

I look outside.

나는 바깥을 봐요.

A cute rabbit hops into the backyard.

귀여운 토끼 한 마리가 뒷마당으로 뛰어 들어 오네요.

Grandpa gives it a lettuce leaf.

할아버지께서는 토끼에게 상추 잎 한 장을 주세요.

I ask Grandpa,

나는 할아버지께 물어요,

“Bears and squirrels are sleeping now.

“곰과 다람쥐는 지금 잠을 자고 있어요.

Don’t rabbits sleep all winter?”

토끼들은 겨울 내내 잠을 자지 않나요?”

“No, they don’t, Lisa,” Grandpa says.

“아니, 그들은 잠을 자지 않는단다, Lisa.”라고 할아버지께서 말씀하세요.

“But they become less active.

“그러나 그들은 덜 활동적이게 된단다.

They also grow more fur.
