Where Do Animals Live?

동물들은 어디에 사나요?

Animals have different homes.

동물들은 서로 다른 집을 가지고 있어요.

Eagles live in nests.

독수리는 둥지에 살아요.

Their nests are often in tall trees.

그들의 둥지는 주로 높은 나무에 있어요.

Up there, their babies are safe.

거기 위에서, 그들의 새끼는 안전해요.

Bats make homes in caves.

박쥐는 동굴에 집을 만들어요.

They hate light.

그들은 빛을 싫어해요.

So they stay in dark caves.

Spiders live in sticky webs.

The sticky webs help spiders catch insects.

Animal homes are not the same.

But every animal has a perfect home!

A Yard Sale

마당 세일

I am at Kelly’s yard sale.

나는 Kelly의 마당 세일((개인 주택의 마당에서 사용하던 물건을 파는 것)에 있어요.

She is selling some old but good things.

그녀는 오래됐지만, 상태가 좋은 것들 몇 가지를 팔고 있어요.

There is a cool bike.

멋진 자전거 한 대가 있어요.

But I can’t ride a two-wheel bike yet.

그러나 나는 아직 두발 자전거를 타지 못해요.

There is a lovely, cheap jacket too.

예쁘고(멋지고), 값이 저렴한 재킷도 있네요.

But it is too tight for me.

I see an orange basketball.

“It’s just one dollar,” Kelly says.

Bounce! Bounce! I love it!

Finally I can buy something nice!

A New Life for Old Paper

폐지를 위한 새 삶

This is a recycling center.

여기는 재활용 센터예요.

Old paper gets a new life here.

폐지는 이곳에서 새 삶을 얻어요.

There are workers and big, loud machines.

인부들과 크고 시끄러운 기계들이 있어요.

The workers collect paper from the trash.

인부들은 쓰레기로부터 종이를 모아요.

Then the machines clean it.

그러고 나서 기계들은 그것을 세척해요.

They take out all the ink.

그것들은 모든 잉크를 제거해요.

Then they mix the paper with water.

그러고 나서 그것들은 종이를 물과 섞어요.

Finally they make new paper with it.

마지막으로 기계들은 그것을 가지고 새 종이를 만들어요.

Now the old paper can become a new book!

이제 그 폐지들은 한 권의 새 책이 될 수 있어요!

What to Wear Today

Three sisters get ready to go to the playground.

세 자매가 놀이터에 나갈 준비를 해요.

Carla puts on new white pants.

Carla는 흰색의 새 바지를 입어요.

Molly chooses her princess dress.

Molly는 그녀의 공주 원피스를 골라요.

Lauren puts on old jeans.

Lauren은 낡은 청바지를 입어요.

On the playground, Carla has trouble.
