A month later, Mr. Kang saw the boy in the street outside the restaurant.

한 달 후, 강 씨는 식당 밖 거리에서 그 남자아이를 보았다.

The boy was gathering stones.

그 남자아이는 돌멩이를 모으고 있었다.

“What are you doing?” asked Mr. Kang.

"너 뭐 하고 있니?" 강 씨가 물었다.

“I’m counting the number of customers who enter your restaurant."

"저는 아저씨 식당에 들어가는 손님들의 수를 세고 있어요."

Today is my grandma’s birthday.

오늘이 할머니 생신이거든요.

‘He wants to be the 100th customer and treat his grandmother to a bowl of Gukbap!’ Mr. Kang said to himself.

저 아이는 백 번째 손님이 되어서 할머니께 공짜 국밥 한 그릇을 대접하고 싶어 하는구나.' 강 씨는 혼잣말을 했다.

Mr. Kang looked down.

강 씨는 아래를 내려다보았다.

He could see that the number of stones was not yet even fifty.

그는 돌멩이의 개수가 아직 오십 개도 안 된 것을 볼 수 있었다.

He had to do something to help the boy gather 100 stones.

그는 남자아이가 돌멩이 백 개를 모으는 것을 돕기 위해 무언가를 해야 했다.

Mr. Kang went back into the restaurant and called his friends.

강 씨는 식당으로 되돌아가 그의 친구들에게 전화했다.

“Come to my restaurant now and bring everyone who works with you."

"지금 내 식당으로 오고, 자네와 함께 일하는 모든 사람들을 데려와 주게."

There is a boy who needs your help.

자네 도움이 필요한 남자아이가 있어.

People began to arrive at the restaurant.

사람들이 식당에 도착하기 시작했다.

When the 99th customer arrived, Mr. Kang heard the boy say, “It’s our turn, Grandma.”

아흔아홉 번째 손님이 도착했을 때 강 씨는 남자아이가 "우리 차례예요, 할머니."라고 말하는 것을 들었다.

Mr. Kang welcomed them and served the woman a free bowl of Gukbap.

강 씨는 그들을 반기며 할머니께 공짜 국밥 한 그릇을 제공했다.

“Are you sure you are not hungry?” the woman asked the boy.

"너 정말 배고프지 않지?" 할머니가 남자아이에게 물었다.

The boy chewed loudly on some Gimchi and said with a smile, “No, I’m not hungry, Grandma."

남자아이는 큰 소리로 김치를 씹고 미소 지으며 말했다. "네, 저는 배고프지 않아요, 할머니."
