Every year starting on December 10th, International Human Rights Day, you can take part in Write for Rights.

매년 세계 인권 선언 기념일인 12월 10일을 시작으로 당신은 편지쓰기 캠페인(Write for Rights)에 참가할 수 있다.

For one week, tens of thousands of people in more than thirty countries write letters to help free innocent prisoners around the world.

The event is organized by Amnesty International, a famous international human rights organization.

So, how can writing a letter free an innocent prisoner?

Well, the letters are sent to governments who have innocent prisoners in their jails.

Many such prisoners are lawyers or journalists who were put in jail for speaking out about human rights.

During Write for Rights week, hundreds of thousands of letters are sent together.

They all arrive at the same time, often in huge boxes.

That way, the governments take notice of them!
