"Why don't you stay longer and catch more fish?"

"This is all I need for my family," the fisherman said.

“우리 가족에게 필요한 건 이게 다인걸요.”라고 어부가 말했다.

The businessman asked, "How do you spend the rest of your day?"

사업가가 물었다. “하루의 나머지 시간을 어떻게 보내시나요?”

I go home to rest and spend time with my family.

”집에 가서 쉬고, 가족과 시간을 보내죠.

"Then in the evening, I hang out with my friends," the fisherman explained.

그리고 저녁때에는 친구들과 어울리고요.”라고 어부가 설명했다.

Then the businessman gave him some advice: "If you want to become a successful businessman like me, you should start staying out longer at sea."

그러자 사업가는 그에게 조언을 해주었다. “나처럼 성공적인 사업가가 되고 싶다면, 바다에서 좀 더 오랜 시간 머무르길 시작해야 해요."

That way, you can catch more fish to sell, save money, and then buy a bigger boat.

그런 식으로, 당신은 팔 수 있는 더 많은 물고기를 잡을 수 있을 것이고, 돈을 저축해서 더 큰 배를 살 수 있어요.

After a few successful years, you can move to the city and manage your business from there.

몇 년의 성공적인 세월을 보내고 난 후에, 도시로 이사 가서 그곳에서 사업을 꾸려나갈 수 있어요.

"And then what would I do?" asked the fisherman.

“그러고 나서는 뭘 하죠?”라고 어부가 물었다.

"You can make enough money to buy a big house and live like a king," the businessman replied.

"And then what?" asked the fisherman.

“그럼 그러고 나면요?”라고 어부가 물었다.

After that, you can retire and spend time with your family at home.

그 이후에는 은퇴해서 집에서 가족들과 함께 시간을 보낼 수 있지요.

In the evenings, you can hang out with your friends.

저녁에는 친구들과 어울릴 수도 있을 거요.

The fisherman was confused.

어부는 어리둥절했다.

Isn't that what I do now?

그게 내가 지금 하고 있는 일 아닌가요?
